I will dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
